Lawrence Richard E. (Dick): It is with deep sadness that the family of Richard (Dick) E. Lawrence announces his passing at home surrounded by his family. Richard leaves to mourn his beloved wife Shelby and his 3 cherished children Tammy, Kim (Paul) & Todd. He was the loving Granddad of Tyler, Taylor and Daniel. Loving friend of Ashley Akey. Dick was the son of the late Ernest and Winifred Lawrence. He is predeceased by his sister Barbara. Dick was a long time employee of Corby Distillery. He was an avid pilot and boater and a long time Member of the Bay of Quinte Yacht Club and the Oak Hills Flying Club. Dick will be sadly missed by his Uncle & Aunt, Bob and Edna Jardine of Willowdale, Ont. His Loving Sisters and Brother’s In-Law Nancy & Ray Clarke of Corbyville, Ont. and Bruce and Betty Wood of Gabriola Island and his cousin Wm. Lawson of Bayside, Ont. “Uncle Dick” will be missed at family gatherings by many nieces and nephews. Dick had many good friends who will mourn his passing. Dick met each day with zest and a twinkle in his eye. He loved and looked after his family well. We will miss him so much. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Stirling Heritage Railway Station, 122 North St., Stirling, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dick’s name to the Chrones and Colitis Association, West Huntingdon Presbyterian Church or The Heart of Hastings Hospice would be appreciated by the Family.
