A graveside service for Mary Sue Culpepper, 93, of Leesburg will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2011 at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Crisp County. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Rainey Family Funeral Services. Mrs. Culpepper, a long-time resident of Cordele, passed away Sunday at Lee County Health Care in Leesburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe S. Culpepper. A native of Crisp County, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Marion and Annie Burge Herrington. She was a homemaker and in recent years after being unable to attend her own chuch, she attended Ebenezer Baptist Church. Mrs. Culpepper is survived by two children, Betty Culpepper Ellis of Cordele and Joe Culpepper and his wife Trudy of Marianna, FL; two sisters, Inez Sheffield of Vero Beach, FL and Ruth McGahee of Jupiter, FL; four grandchildren and their spouses, LeAnn and Charles Norras, Shari Ellis, Vickie and David Sanders and Charles and Mary Culpepper; and five great-grandchildren, Lela Norras, Joel Norras, Tori Sanders, C J Culpepper and Allison Culpepper.
