It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bessie Ptashnyk on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the age of 96 years. Bessie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Bessie was predeceased by her devoted loving son, Don Samoridny; two husbands, Steve Samoridny and Stan Ptashnyk. The family is extremely grateful to the staff at the Good Samaritan Southgate Care Centre for all their care and compassion during the last nine years. Family and friends may pay their respects Thursday, August 17 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Funeral Home, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Funeral Service Friday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue with interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
