AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME WATERBURY Waterbury - Margaret M. Derry age 90, of Waterbury, passed away at her home after an extended illness on Wednesday October 17, 2012. She was the widow of Edward Derry. Mrs. Derry was born February 23rd 1922 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late John F. & Margaret (Conway) Murphy. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and received her associate’s degree in business management from Post College. She worked as a secretary for CL&P for approximately five years before getting married and becoming a loving and dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed reading, and traveling, especially throughout the United States and Canada. Among her survivors are several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband of 46 years she is also predeceased by her son, David Derry and her sister in-law Arline Brennan. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Derry will be held on Friday, October 19th 2012 at 10:30am at Saints Peter and Paul Church 67 Southmayd Rd. Those planning on attending are asked to meet directly at the church. Rites of Committal and Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
