Christopher Morano

Christopher Anthony Morano, passed away on May 25, 2016. Chris was born and raised in the Boston area. He later relocated to the New York area to work at Indices Pac Research Corporation on Park Avenue in New York City as an Information Technology Specialist before settling in Red Bank, N.J. Chris and his wife Marie met while facilitating at a martial arts summer camp at The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) in 1996. He is remembered by those who knew him as a trusted friend—always willing to lend a helping hand. Chris availed himself to others by offering his expertise and assistance in computers, repairing or remodeling projects. He was past president and current board member of his Homeowners Association. Chris had a passion for cooking, all things outdoors, and loved to camp and hike in the mountains of Pennsylvania and Maine. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Karinja-Morano; his step-son Jeffrey and by so many others who loved him so much. Chris’ family in Boston includes his sisters Deborah, Elizabeth and her son Paul; Kathryn and Mary; his brothers Richard and Paul, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He leaves behind his children: Jillyan, Christopher and John, and two grandchildren. Chris is predeceased by his parents Richard and Mary and his brother David. His family from New Jersey includes his mother-in-law Rosemarie, sister-in-laws Cathy and Frances, their husbands Greg and John, and their children Rose, Gregory, Mark and Greg. He also leaves behind his best friends Paul and Tracy. He will be dearly missed by all the lives he touched. Chris donated his body for tissue transplant through the N.J. Sharing Network so there will be no viewing. Family and friends will be invited to a memorial service in Christopher’s memory planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC), 538 Emery Road, Dingman’s Ferry, PA 18328 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
