Virginia Fox

Virginia V. Fox, 94 of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill. Born February 23, 1922 in Akron, Ohio to the late Clarence Fox and Emma Timmer Fox. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Fox. Virginia was an avid artist who loved to paint and has left many samples of her work for family members to cherish. She was a former clerk for the Board of Education and attended Oak Hill United Methodist Church. Those surviving include children Margaret Joy Park and husband Roma of Russellville, WV, Laura Kathleen Alcorn and husband Arnold of Wooster, OH, and Stanley Smith of Los Osos, CA; grandchildren Dawn Earl and husband Steven of North Port, FL, Terri Martin and husband Kevin of Uniontown, OH, Amanda Park of Russellville, WV, Bryan Alcorn of Dalton, OH, Carmen Alcorn of Cleveland, OH, Deanna Alcorn of San Francisco, CA, Melanie Alcorn of Denver, CO and Holly Michael & husband Doug; great-grandchildren Kayla Staymate, Kendall Bane, Erin Withrow, Levi Martin, Grant Michael and great, great grandchild Roma Lee Withrow. A Visitation will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill from 2-4pm. A short service by Pastor Charles Miller will follow the visitation at the funeral home. Graveside rites and interment will be conducted at the East Liberty Cemetery in Green, Ohio at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
