RITCHIE, Julie Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on February 28, 2014. Loved mom of Gail Podrats (Jim Cameron). Nana of Jason Podrats (Michele Mischler) of Geneva, Switzerland, and Allyson Podrats (Greg Hobbs) of Toronto. Julie will be fondly remembered by Jim’s children; Bob (Karen Conboy) of Etobicoke, and Fran (Danny Rioux) of Rossland B.C.. Predeceased by her husband George, her infant son, and her sister May Grace. She is also survived by her sister Ethel Haynes of England, her nephew Robert Grace and his wife Suzanne, and their family, as well as George’s family in Aberdeen, Scotland. Great Nanny to Jezebel Mischler and Shaun Podrats of Geneva, Switzerland, Iris and Lydia Hobbs of Toronto, and Maelle and Alexa Rioux of Rossland, B.C.. Julie will be missed for her scones, and by a wide circle of friends both here and in England. The family wishes to thank the Supportive care staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their amazing caring support, and to Nellie – many thanks. Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME 124 King Street East Oshawa for a Memorial Service on Wednesday March 5th at 1:30pm, visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
