LUCHKIW, Halina “Helen” (nee Marchuk), Long time member St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church – peacefully on Thursday March 17, 2011 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa surrounded by her loved family at the age of 85. Helen, beloved wife of the late John Luchkiw. Loved mother of Janet and her husband Dr. Dan L. Derumaux, and Walter Luchkiw. Loving grandmother of Kaley and her husband Keri Kettle, Paul Derumaux and his wife Jen, great grandmother of Ellie and Alex. Lovingly remembered by sister Rose and brothers Peter and Walter. Helen will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends in the Ukraine and Canada. Friends may call at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Sunday March 20th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Panachyda in the chapel at 7:30pm. Devine Liturgy of Christian Burial on Monday March 21st at 10am at St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church (Lviv & Albert). Interment St Wolodymyr and St Olha Ukrainian Cemetery, Courtice. Memorial donations to St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church would be greatly appreciated by Helen’s family.
