Lelon “Jack” Caldwell, of Atkins, departed this life at the age of 94 at his home on Friday, March 29, 2013. The son of Lonnie Caldwell and Maggie Freshour Caldwell, he was born December 28, 1918 in Hempsted County , Arkansas. He was retired from Atkins Pickle Company . He was a member of Atkins First Baptist Church and a charter member of Atkins Riding Club . He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Lonnie Caldwell, grandson, Jeremy Grace and 7 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife , Hilda Caldwell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Brenda Caldwell, Ray and Gayle Caldwell and Dana Caldwell all of Atkins, 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services are 10:00 AM Monday, April 1, 2013 at Atkins First Baptist Church with Rev Jeff Cheatham officiating. Burial is at Childers Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday night from 6-8 PM at Lemley Chapel. Pallbearers will be Jim Ennis, Dalton Ennis, Steve Riley, Randy Allen, Rusty Allen, Jim Sargent. Honorary Pallbearers will be Atkins First Baptist Church Faith Men’s Class. Memorials may be made to Atkins First Baptist Church % Dorothy Wiley 305 Ave 2 NE; Atkins, AR 72823, or Arkansas Department of Health Hospice, 404 El Paso, Russellville, AR 72801.
