Doris Newkirk, “Ducky”, 82, went home to the Lord on Sunday, May 20, 2012. Born in Philadelphia, PA to Marie and Mancel Tweed, she lived in Brigantine for 56 years before moving to Mays Landing. In her leisure time, Ducky enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She leaves behind her husband Charles; sons Charles and Robert; daughter Beth McTear; granddaughters Lauren McTear and Meghan Lavner; sisters-in-law Jane Florence and Joan Mangold (Bill), brothers-in-law Raymond Newkirk and Preston Heckler; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Phyllis Bradley and Jean Heckler. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 26, at 11 AM, at the Church of St. Mark and All Saints, 429 S.
