<p>Marie Bartelt (nee: Neeb), 90, of Egg Harbor City, went home to be with the Lord on April 5, 2016. She was predeceased by her parents Stewart and Minnie Neeb of Northfield, and husbands Conrad Reising and George Bryan.</p><p><br></p><p>Marie was the beloved wife of William F. Bartelt for over 30 years.</p><p><br></p><p>She was the loving mother of Peggy Franklin (Gary) of Sweetwater, NJ and Step Mom of Carol Scott (Frank) of Voorhees, NJ and William Bartelt, Jr. (Heidi) of Newport News, VA.</p><p><br></p><p>She was the adoring Grandmother of Brooke Franklin, Mandy Franklin, Kelly (Mark) and Meghan Franklin. Also Grandmom of David (Amy) Scott and Keith (Lisa) Scott, Bernd (Tawny) Bartelt and Brian Bartelt, and Justin and Timothy Johnson. Marie’s life was filled with the love of her Great Grandchildren Maya Kelley and Makayla Kelley, Nikolas Bartelt, and Jake and Evan Scott. She is also survived by her sisters Doris Whittaker and Ruth Bugden, and many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>Marie was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Maspeth Queens, NY City. She moved to Mays Landing, then Egg Harbor Township, and then to Egg Harbor City. She worked as head bookkeeper for radio station WOND for over 30 years. She was secretary and Worthy Matron of the Dewey Chapter of the Eastern Star and a member for over 60 years.</p><p><br></p><p>Marie loved spending her winters in Florida. She shared her love of travel with her daughters by taking them on vacations to Jamaica, Las Vegas, and New York. She loved crocheting and made family members beautiful memories for their children. She even made her daughter Peggy’s wedding dress as well as the dresses for the wedding party. Marie had a huge heart filled with love and was a very giving person. </p><p><br></p><p>The spirit of Marie’s courage, compassion, and unconditional love lives on through her daughter, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters. She was cherished and will be missed by so many and will remain in our hearts forever.</p><p><br></p><p>A viewing will be held Sunday evening, April 10th, from 6-7:30 PM, with Eastern Star Services at 7:30 PM. On Monday morning, April 11th, a viewing will be held from 10-11 AM followed by services at 11 AM, all at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Mays Landing. </p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Heartland Hospice, 2111 New Rd., Northfield, NJ 08225 or the Voorhees Animal Orphanage, 419 Cooper Rd., Voorhees, NJ 08043 or online at www.vaonj.org.</p>
