Ms. Jean Rita Fisher Jordan of Franklin, Tennessee left us peacefully at home on July 22, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was 85 years old. Jean is survived by her beloved son, Travis Jordan of Franklin; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, George Washington Fisher and Lillie Overbey Fisher of Franklin; and her many loving brothers and sisters, Martha, Sam, John, Howard, Gordon, Charles, and Frances. The family also wishes to recognize and give their utmost appreciation and gratitude to the very special caregivers who have taken such loving care of Jean and Travis. To know Jean was to love her, and to love her was to be forever impacted by her wonderful spirit, beautiful compassion, and zest for life. Jean was born December 2, 1930 and was a lifelong resident of Franklin. Among her many passions and callings Jean was a loving mother, a passionate special needs advocate, a faithful servant, and friend to all she met. Her legacy and beauty shine brightly through her son Travis and all who know them. A visitation is scheduled from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery. Cherished family members and friends will serve as pallbearers. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jean’s life.
