Pauline Frances Jones, age 82, Johnson City, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She lived most of her life in Unicoi County before moving to Johnson City in 1987. Pauline is a daughter of the late David and Ethel Vance Gouge. She was a homemaker and a member of Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Hampton. Pauline loved her family dearly and always enjoyed spending time with them. She was an excellent cook. Pauline liked to sing and shop for antiques. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Michael Jones; one granddaughter, Lori Starnes; two brothers: Leonard Gouge and Hoover Gouge; one sister, Etola Gouge. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of sixty-five years, Earl Jones; two sons: Ronnie Jones (Phyllis), Flag Pond and Danny Jones, Limestone; one daughter, Sheila Jones, Erwin; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the hour of service on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Ed Mosley will officiate at the 2:00 PM funeral service. Music will be provided by Inez Chandler. Interment will follow in the Bell Cemetery. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
