Russell Phillips

Russell Phillips, 86, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Russell was born on April 4, 1931, son of Charles and Lucinda (Long) Phillips. On June 14, 1958, he married Jean “Annie” Carolfi in Rozellville, WI. Jean passed away on February 7, 2016. Russell served in the US Army for two years during the Korean War. He was employed in the pottery at Kohler Company for 37 years until his retirement in 1992. Russell was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls. He was a member of the Kohler Company Quarter Century Club. Russell enjoyed traveling with his wife, gun collecting, cars, music, and was a casino enthusiast. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Russell is survived by his three daughters, Susan Steinpreis, Judy (Rollie) Faust, and Lynn (David) Hening; his three sons, Dale (Sally) Phillips, Dave Phillips, and Danny (Stacy) Phillips; eleven grandchildren, Amanda (Nick) Yankunos, Lacey (Ryan) Busse, Cadence (LaJames) Steinpreis, Julie Steinpreis, Dave Phillips Jr., Genevieve (Brian) Bostwick, Rebekah Faust, Jacob Faust, Eric Hening, Emily Hening, and Nicholas Bender; ten great-grandchildren, Alex and Kendra Busse, Mahogany, Diane, Rakim, Caron, and Jody Givens, Bianca and Austin Steinpreis, and Maddox Phillips; two sisters, Mabel and Sharon; and two brothers, Harry and Leslie. Russell was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Jean, and his daughter, Jane Phillips. Private services to celebrate Russell’s life will be held. Entombment will take place at the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in the Town of Sheboygan. A memorial fund has been established in Russell’s name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
