Phyllis Walton

Ms. Phyllis Ann (Sullins) Wilson Walton of Searcy, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. She was born February 16, 1941 in Bono, Arkansas, the daughter of Alton “Buss” and Myrtle (Smith) Sullins. Mrs. Walton was a seamstress, and loved making her children’s clothing when they were younger. She also loved her dogs and loved to travel. She enjoyed reading her Bible. Mrs. Walton was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Marcel Sullins; one brother Dean Sullins. She is survived by two daughters; Barbara Barnes and husband, Roy of Searcy; Joetta Martin and husband, Steve of Searcy; one brother, Jerry Sullins and wife, Joyce of Bono; four grandchildren; Kristin Edwards and husband, Brandon, of Wichita Falls, TX, Kristopher Barnes and wife, Abby of North Richland Hills, TX, Jacob Martin and wife Kate of Little Rock, Brittany Martin of Searcy; three great-grandchildren, Charlotte Edwards, Duncan Edwards and Joshua Martin. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday, 9:30 a.m. until service time, with Mr. Ryan Wilson officiating. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Roy Barnes, Kris Barnes, Brandon Edwards, Al Williams, Steve Martin, Jacob Martin, Brent Sullins and Carroll Thetford.
