BUCKLEY, BRUCE The family of Bruce Buckley announces the passing of Bruce at Bethammi Nursing Home on Monday, September 26, 2016 at the age of 89. Bruce was born in Fort William, the son of Earl and Hazel Buckley. Many of his working years were spent in Toronto but he returned to Thunder Bay to retire. He loved the outdoors, whether skiing, curling, sailing, fishing, swimming or going on outings with the Field Naturalists. His favourite discussion was always about the good times spent at the family camp at Birch Beach in his youth. Bruce is survived by his brother Jack (Janet) in Thunder Bay and his sister Jean Meisenheimer in Port Elgin. Also survived by nine nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Elaine and Ruth Buckley and Grace Del Pino, and brothers-in-law Arnold Meisenheimer and Eugene Del Pino. Funeral services for the late Bruce Buckley will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James with Bishop G. Holden officiating. Private family interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Foundation (Bethammi), the Thunder Bay Field Naturalists, the Church of Latter Day Saints, or a charity of your choice.
