Norma Jean Lovett Conley

Norma Jean Lovett Conley, 79, of Kilgore, went home to her heavenly family, on February 13, 2020 in Kilgore, TX, after fighting an incredible 13-year battle with cancer. A celebration of life for our loving “Meme” will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore with her great nephew, Reverend Austin Eakin officiating. A Burial service will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Norma Jean was born in Vivian, Louisiana to Charlie “Doc” Wall and Celia Wall on June 26, 1940. She attended North Caddo High School in Vivian, LA . She married her high school sweetheart Elre Lovett on December 6, 1957. She was a twirling instructor in Vivian, LA to the Redbud Darlings in the 60s. She moved to Overton, TX in 1972 with her husband and three children where she continued to raise her family and resided for the next 30 years. Norma was an extremely loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who devoted her entire life to her family. She was known to most by either Norma Jean, Aunt Jean, or Meme. She had a heart of gold and a timeless soul who never seemed to age in beauty or spirit. Norma is preceded in death by her daughter Sheree Lovett Gill, her husband Elre Lovett, her parents Doc and Celia Wall, and her brother David Wall. Norma is survived by her daughter Tami Gill and husband Donnie Gill of Kilgore, her son Greg Lovett and wife Belinda Lovett of Kilgore, her grandchildren Brandon Gill and his wife Rayne Gill of Kilgore, April Gill of Kilgore, Brooke Gill of New London, Christopher Lovett and wife Christin Lovett of Kilgore, Jennifer Norris of Kilgore, and, her ten great-grandchildren Braxon Gill, River Gill, Boston Gill, Taige Sipes, Axel Sipes, Cynthia Blake Linton, Audrina Lovett, Hayleigh Jenkins, Mason Norred and Shyla Rogers. Brother Charles Wall and wife Elaine Wall of Houston, and her sister Deborah Wood and husband Jerry Wood of Shreveport, LA. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews that loved her dearly. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the nurses and staff at Arbor Grace of Kilgore for the exceptional care during the final days of Norma’s life.
