Margaret Matney

Margaret Matney, 76, of Bradley, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020. Born July 31, 1943 in Creamery, WV, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Jewell Humphreys Allen. Margaret was a member of Northgate Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and loved fishing, working in her flower garden and playing with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Kenny and Jimmy Allen. Margaret is survived by her husband, Roger Wayne Matney; children, Charles Robert Holdren of Statesville, NC, Heather Matney of Steam Boat Springs, CO, Wayne William Matney and wife Misty of Mt. Hope; grandchildren, Chessie, Emmy, Ethan, Cameron, Xavier; sisters, Brenda Sears and husband Paul of Jumping Branch, WV, Janet Bridges and husband John of Weeki Wachee, FL, Sharon Campbell and husband Bobby of Indian Trail, NC, Mira Belcher and husband Mike of Beckley, WV; brothers, Ralph Allen and wife Bonnie of Beckley, WV, Gary Allen and wife Nancy of Stromberg, NE. Services will be 1 pm Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Northgate Baptist Church with Pastor Craig Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
