Varn Hope Thompson

Varn Hope Thompson, 77, of Richmond, entered into Heaven on February 13, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Kinker and Elsie Crutchfield Kinker; sister, Ellen Morris; brother, Martin Kinker; and son, William Ronnie Thompson. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Herbert Lee Thompson; her children, Jeffrey Lee Thompson (Teresa), Crystal Hope Wells (Brian) and Nathan David Thompson; grandchildren, Ronnie Blake Thompson (Bethany), Amanda Marie Thompson, McKenna Grace Wells and Brianne Tatum Wells; siblings, Della Taylor, Hazel Moseley, Herbert Kinker (Brenda), Blair Kinker and Jerry Kinker (Peggy); and extended family and friends. Hope loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She was dedicated to her church and all the children she babysat over the years. The family would like to thank the Grace Hospice family for all their love and support. A special thanks to Naomi, Steve, Gary and Sarah for all their wonderful care. The family will receive friends 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Buford Road Baptist Church, 819 Buford Rd, North Chesterfield, VA 23235, where a memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Buford Road Baptist Church.
