Dominick Santini

Dominick C. Santini passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 13, 2020 at Hackensack University Medical Center after a year long battle with cancer. He had shared 71 year of unconditional love, laughter and amazing memories with family and friends. Born and raised in Stewartsville, NJ to the late Etol and Fanny Santini, he was one of three boys and three girls to bless the Santini household. After graduating from Washington High School, he went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree from Seton Hall University where he met his beloved wife of 46 years, Jane Modzelewski. He continued his education at Western New England College Law School in Springfield, MA. After, he proudly served in the Judge Advocate Corps in the United States Marine Corps attaining the rank of Captain. He came back to settle in Blairstown Township in the rural area he loved so much. In 1980, Dominick opened his law office in Columbia, NJ and enjoyed working with his clients for 40 years. He served as a Municipal Prosecutor and later as a Municipal Court Judge for 33 years serving Knowlton Township and later Blairstown, Frelinghuysen and Franklin and Independence Township. He thoroughly enjoyed wrestling, baseball and soccer. Dominick loved hunting, fishing and anything to do with the outdoors. If he wasn't working on his antique cars or tending to his chickens you could find him watching car shows and keeping up on current events and politics. Dominick leaves only cherished memories to is beloved wife, Jane, his loving children, Laura Doyle and Dominick C. Santini Jr.; their spouses Mark Doyle and Amy Santini: his cherished grandchildren, Connor, Mikayla and Kevin Doyle and Abby and Ryan Santini: his caring sibling, Barbara, Robert, Linda, Debbie and David Santini and many more extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2020 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 11:30am, at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, 7 Eisenhower Rd., Blairstown, NJ. Burial will follow at "New" Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Jacksonburg Rd., Blairstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
