Allen R. Broyles, age 75, of Oswego, IL, peacefully passed away with his family by his side at his daughter’s residence on February 13, 2020 in Aurora, IL. He was born November 4, 1944 in Quincy, IL, the son of Clifford and M. Helen nee Bradley Broyles. Prior to his retirement, Allen worked as a chemical engineer and also worked in the finance industry. He was a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers for over 50 years. He loved to dance and play the guitar and ukulele. His greatest love was his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 12 years Kathleen nee Kammer Broyles, children Kelly (William) Knopf, Erin (Mark) Hemmerling, step-children Merrinda (Rich) Janas, Preston Larrison, grandchildren Taylor (Fiancé Kyle Petesch) Knopf, Mackenzie (fiancé Hunter Blake) Knopf, Riley Knopf, Keira Hemmerling, Zoe Hemmerling, step-grandchildren Jacob Janas, Emma Janas, Chloe Larrison, niece Michelle Broyles and her children Jordan and Charles Anderson and nephew Donald (Renee) Broyles and their daughter Savannah. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Charles (Rita) Broyles. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 9:30 AM until a funeral service at 12:00 Noon at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S.
