Helen Hyde, 97 of Warren, died Wednesday afternoon, February 5, 2020, at Windsor House of Champion. She was born July 10, 1922 in Senecaville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Michael and Katherine Petrilla Smerik. She was a 1941 graduate of Howland HIgh School and graduated in 1944 from the Trumbull Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as an RN and supervisor for many years at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was married in Pomona, Calif. on February 12, 1949 to Harry D. Hyde who preceded her in death in 1982. Helen had been an active member of the Tod Avenue United Methodist Church. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Per Helen's wishes, there will be no calling hours and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
