Catherine Wilson

Catherine Wilson 94, of Clinton Township, passed away early Thursday, February 13, 2020, at Church of Christ Assisted Living, Clinton Township. She was born July 27, 1925, in Detroit, the daughter of the late Antonino and Grace (Caparatta) Abbate. Her marriage to Thomas A. Wilson was June 10, 1950, and he preceded her death June 26, 2002. Catherine worked as a sales associate at Sears for over 30 years. She enjoyed golfing and bowling. Catherine loved church and was a parishioner of San Francesco Catholic Church, Clinton Township, and San Francesco’s Orphans Club. Surviving are her three children, Thomas Wilson, Nancy (Howard) McCollom, Anthony (Cheryl) Wilson, and four grandchildren, Howard (Donna), Craig (Lynn), and Chris (Stephanie) McCollom, and Catherine “Katie” Wilson; eight great-grandchildren, Maria, Howard, Anthony, Lilly, Reese, Julia, Maci and Tessa; sister, Nellie Palazzolo and sisters-in-law, Corinne Abbate and Betty Poole and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceding her in death is a brother, Joseph Abbate.
