Mr. Jimmy Howard Redding

Jimmy Howard Redding, age 82, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020. Mr. Redding was born in Carroll County, Georgia on December 18, 1937, the son of the late V.N. Redding and Linnie Muse Redding. He was retired warehouse assistant with Bishop and Brogdon. Mr. Redding was a member of the Buck Creek Masonic Lodge #639, the Silver Saints Sunday School Class and North Point Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Grace Jackson Redding; son, Jeffrey Redding; daughter and son-in-law, Robyn and John L. Grillo; grandchildren, Emma-Lee Grillo and Jackson Grillo; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cathy Redding; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine and Danny Camp, Joann and Joe Jefferies, Wylene and L.A. Dukes, Edna Allen and Katherine Walker. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, C.W. Redding, Charles Redding, David Redding and Maggie Denney. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Funeral service will be Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 2 p.m. at North Point Baptist Church with Pastor Lee Wimberly and Rev. Joe Driver officiating. His body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service time. Pallbearers will be Danny Camp, Danny Redding, Larry Hughes, Nevin Jackson, Kerry Cooke and Jackson Grillo. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl and Melba Lambert, Joe and Frances Kierbow, Kenneth and JoAnn Shadrix, Dorothy Couch, Charles and Sherry Williams, Debbie Cooke, Barbara Haynes and Michelle and Greg Gause. Interment will be in Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery with full Masonic rights. Messages of condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.almonfuneralhome.com.
