Helen Lackey

Helen Lackey, age 93, formerly of Fernwood, and was a current resident of Mtn Laurel Nursing & Rehab, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2017. Helen was born in Fernwood, PA. At the age of 15 she moved to NJ for work. She lived in both Newark and Edison, until she relocated back to Fernwood in 1976-1977. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Catherine (Refalsky) Jacoby; her husband Harry Lackey; and siblings, Anna Beiter, Francine Frankovich, and Joseph Jacoby. Helen is survived by her only son, Robert Lackey of Toms River, NJ and five siblings, Dorothy Fiorentino of NJ, Stephanna Rumsky of Glen Richey, Marian Bagrosky of Osceola Mills, Louis Jacoby, Sr. of Ramey, and Richard Jacoby of Warren. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey. Helen was known as a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend. She will forever be remembered for her loving heart and recipes. She loved to cook and bake. Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Ramey. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Ramey. Condolences may be made at www.kruise-spewock.com
