Mrs. Barbara Carnell Byer, age 69, of Quinwood, WV, died Friday, May 19, 2017, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Ronceverte, WV. She was the wife of Edmund F. Byer, Jr. Mrs. Byer was born January 3, 1948 in Richwood, WV, the daughter of the late Eldridge Clarence Hellems and Norma Jane McClung Hellems. She had been employed as a supervisor at the sewing plant. Barbara was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed reading, shopping and dogs. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Byer is survived by two sons, Chris Carnell and wife, Beth of Nicolas County, WV, and Quent Byer and wife, Pam of Covington; two daughters, Vicky Callahan and husband, Kenny of Covington, Teresa Byer and Eric Tucker of Covington; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May, 22, 2017, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Quent Byer, Chris Carnell, Bubba Stull, Jr., Vicky Callahan, Gavin Crissinger, Camden Crissinger, Eric Tucker and Kenny Callahan. The family will receive friends Monday morning from 9:30 A.M. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home. Arrangements are being handled by Loving Funeral Home; www.lovingfuneralhome1913.com.
