Harrison Peters

Harrison Peters of Hood River, Oregon passed away on October 17, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. Harrison was born on June 8, 1923 and was 94 years of age at the time of his passing. Harrison was born in Odell, Oregon the son of Thomas & Martha (Matzen) Peters. He graduated from Odell High School in 1942. He joined the Army Air Corps and served from 1943 to 1946. Shortly after returning he purchased an orchard. In 1954 he married, Charlotte Delia Regan and they then had three boys; Mark, Antony & Derek. Harrison spent his days maintaining the family orchard. Later in life he became a Federal Inspector for The State of Oregon and working his orchard until retiring in 2012. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Peters; sons, Antony Peters and Dereck Peters; daughter-in-law Katherine Peters; nephew, Larry Saxton; five grandchildren, Katie, Charlotte, Victoria, Mark, and Courtney; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Peters; brother, Forrest Peters; and nephew, David Saxton. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday October 25, 2017 at Pine Grove Cemetery (2687 Van Horn Drive Hood River, OR 97031).
