Henry Motacki

Henry J. Motacki, 91 of Kunkletown, PA died peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Born in Clifton, Henry resided in Belleville for 60 years before moving to PA five years ago. He is a US Navy Veteran of WW II as a Navy Armed Guard who served in the American, European and Asiatic Theatres of Operations and was part of invasion of Normandy. Henry was employed as an Inspector for Wallace & Tiernan Inc. in Belleville for 42 years prior to his retirement in 1991. He is a member and former Church Council Member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Passaic, a member of Zion United Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville, PA for the last 5 years and a member of the Athenia Veterans Post in Clifton. Henry is a former Boy Scout Leader and Little League coach in Belleville. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Louise M. (Wyndt) who died 2012 and by six siblings: Joseph, Stanley, Stella, Sophie, Mae and Helen. Henry is survived by a son, Richard Motacki and companion, Jan, by a daughter, Debra Scocozza and husband, James, by two grandchildren, Michael and Thomas Scocozza, by two sisters, Lottie O'Lear and Frances Salva, by three sister in laws, Anne Motacki, Joyce Hartkopf and Barbara Pison and by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3PM Sunday afternoon at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Road, Clifton, NJ 07012 with a private burial at BGWCD Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday 1-3PM. Memorial donations to either St. John Lutheran or Zion United Lutheran church are preferred to flowers.
