Maurice Nicole

Maurice J. Nicole, 93 of the Lighthouse at Lincoln, formerly of McCabe Avenue of Pawtucket died Wednesday at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. Born in St. Paul de Montminy P.Q. Canada, he was a son of the late Elzear and Anastasie (Talbot) Nicole. He was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. Maurice was a WWII Navy Veteran and received many medals for his service during the war. Prior to his retirement he was a cabinet maker and was instrumental in building the inside doors of St. John the Baptist Church in Pawtucket. He was also known for his love of sailing and owned many sailboats over the years. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Leo and Rosaire Nicole. His funeral will be held Tuesday from the CHEETHAM FUNERAL HOME, 1012 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Paul II Parish, St. Cecilia’s Church, Central and Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 a.m. with visitation at the funeral home prior to the service from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment with Military Honors at Notre Dame Cemetery.
