Paul Mattox, 83, of Gore, OK, was born May 5, 1934 at Hinton, OK, the son of Tony and Georgia Mattox and died Thursday, October 26, 2017 at his home in Gore. Paul was retired from the US Marine Corps where he proudly served his country until his retirement. Pastimes included fishing and tinkering with engines and other mechanical items. Paul had a funny sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. He was a spiritual man and loved his church. Survivors include his children, Paula Hampton and Dale of Gore, Janet Derr and John of Muskogee, Joy Magoon and Ray of Fayetteville AR, Penny Colbert and Victor of Gore, Shaunna Mattox of Gore; grandchildren, Dalana Adams and Bradley, Joshua Morris, Dessra Potter and Justin, Jerad Mattox and Megan, Chastity Baker and Kevin, Lake Mattox, Trey Mattox, Dylan Mattox, and Gabe Mills; great-grandchildren, Tristen Adams, Katelyn Adams, Isaac Jones, Madison Potter, and Jordan Potter. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janice; seven brothers and sisters.
