Wilbert Clark Armell Obituary

Wilbert Clark Armell, 76 of Seekonk died Sunday at Charlesgate Nursing Center in Providence RI. He was the husband of 52 years to Susan McCormick Armell. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Wilbert J. and Virginia (Weston) Armell. He graduated from North Attleboro High School and attended RI School of Design. He was a resident of Seekonk for more than 50 years. To his friends and family, he was known as Bill. Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a lifelong member of the North Attleboro Lodge of Elks, #1011. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a dyer for more than 20 years at Slater Dye Works in Pawtucket, RI, following over 20 years at Attleboro Dyeing and Finishing in Seekonk MA. Bill raised, rode and showed horses throughout his life including award winning Arabians. He enjoyed the golf course, his yard work, his friends and especially his family.   In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by two sons, Thomas and his wife Elizabeth of Taunton, Michael and his wife Kerry of Seekonk, three grandchildren, Sean and Kaitlyn Armell of Taunton and Madison Armell of Seekonk. He is also survived by two brothers, Donald W. Armell of Salem, MA and John T. Armell of Seekonk.   Visitation will be held on Friday, June 9th from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the CHEETHAN FUNERAL HOME, 1012 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. His funeral will be held the following week on Saturday June 17th at 10:00 a.m. at the CHEETHAM FUNERAL HOME, followed by interment in Seekonk Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
