Patricia Mullenix
Patricia Giblin Mullenix, age 69 of Orange, passed away October 14, 2017 at St. Raphael Hospital, New Haven. Patricia was the daughter of the late John and Sarah McCormack Giblin. She graduated from the Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1966 and was a Registered Nurse for Bridgeport Hospital, the former Fairfield Hills Hospital of Newtown, and the VA Hospital of West Haven until her retirement. A wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, she is survived by her loving husband John Mullenix of Orange, her sons Sean Mullenix of Hamden, David Mullenix and his wife Danielle of Milford, and Patrick Mullenix and his wife Nicole of Downers Grove, IL; her grandchildren Sebastian, Nathan, Courtney, Alicia, Matthew, and Aiden Mullenix; her twin sister Noreen Butkus and her husband David, and her nephews Brendan, Colin, and Darren Butkus. Calling hours will be held Thursday October 19th from 4pm to 7pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday October 20th at 10am at St. Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery, Seymour. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patricia’s memory to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash St., East Hartford, CT 06108.
