Laura Alleman

Laura M. Alleman, 90, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center. She was born March 1, 1926 in Letterkenny Township, Franklin County, PA. Laura was a daughter of the late Simon Frank and Laura A. Brumbaugh Shearer. Laura retired from IBM in Mechanicsburg and years ago worked at the former Shirtcraft and Greif Companies. She is survived by three sons, Donald M. (Mary) Alleman, Gary L. (Janet) Alleman, and Jamie R. Alleman all of Shippensburg, six grandchildren, Rebecca, Gary, John, Art, Rozeann, and Mabel, eleven great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband, Mark J. “Sparky” Alleman died January 3, 1999. A grandson, Ronald Mark Alleman, three brothers, Frank and Jacob Shearer, and Omar “Cider Brumbaugh, and one sister, Margaret Shannon are also deceased. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Luke D. Holtry. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. There will be no public viewing or visitation. Online condolences may be expressed at www.fogelsanger-brickerfuneralhome.com.
