Alfred G. Kunzman

Alfred G. Kunzman Bridgewater, NJ Alfred G. Kunzman Sr., 89, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Somerset. Born in Bayonne, NJ, he resided in Roselle Park before moving to Bridgewater, NJ, 52 years ago. Al was a Corporal in the US Army and served in the Korean War before being honorably discharged in 1953. Al had a very successful career with Prudential for over 25 years. He was an active communicant of St. Bernard R.C. Church and had a great love for his faith. Al was a devoted Giants fan. He liked to travel to his home in Lake Havasu City, AZ, and to visit family in Ireland. He was known for his business acumen, great wit, and sense of humor. He was very charismatic, loved to entertain, and was sought out for his sage advice. He taught his children a great love for nature and animals. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Rose and Harry Kunzman; his beloved wife of 61 years, Teresa McKay Kunzman (2014); and two sisters, Lorraine Kunzman and Rose Teeling. Surviving are his dear son, Al Jr., of Bridgewater, NJ; four loving daughters, Jeanne and husband Anthony Rodriques of Huntington Beach, CA, Marlene and husband Oliver Torres of Houston, TX, Mary Kunzman of Branchburg, NJ, and Lorraine and husband Nicholas Bonsignore of Hampton, NJ; ten cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Erin, Nicholas, Alex, Gabrielle, Amanda, Sarah, Kieran, Nate, and Eva; and five adored great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Elaine, Breanne, Jax, and Luke. His greatest legacy was his love for his wife, Teresa, and devotion to his family. Viewing will be held Monday, February 10, 2020 from 4-8pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Funeral services will start with a prayer at the funeral home at 12:45pm on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 followed by a 1:30pm funeral liturgy at St. Bernard R.C. Church in Bridgewater. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater.
