Peggy Nelson, 79, of Atkins, went to her home in Heaven Tuesday, February 4, 2020. She was born January 24, 1941, in Pope County, daughter of the late Grady and Bernice Duvall. She was a loving wife, mother and nana with a true servant’s heart. She was a retired employee of ConAgra, and faithfully attended the Woodlawn Free Will Baptist Church in Russellville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Dennis Farrell Nelson and Gregory Doyle Nelson; 2 brothers, L.B. Duvall and Finis Duvall; sisters, Lmurl Boren and Nina Ruth Duvall. She is survived by her husband, Alton “Hoot” Nelson; daughter-in-law, Lisa Nelson; and grandson, Greg Ryan Nelson and wife Kacey; brother, Bobby Duvall and wife Allene; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial services are 10:00 AM, Monday, February 10, at Lemley Chapel, with Rev. Chad Duvall, Rev. Fred Goates, and Rev. Jerry Burris officiating.
