Frank "Herbie" Creamer

Frank “Herbie” Creamer, 56 of Edgecomb, passed away at his home on the morning of April 2, 2019. Born in Boothbay Harbor on August 8, 1962, he was the son of Frank and Marsha Creamer. Herbie attended school in Edgecomb and Wiscasset. Early in his working career he worked as a commercial fisherman even working in Alaska and eventually in marine construction. He loved the outdoors, hunting especially moose hunting, striper fishing on his boat, going up north just to get away and he was an avid feeder of the birds. Herbie would do anything for anyone, and was known for his ability to expertly cut down trees. His close-knit family meant everything to him. He is preceded in death by his father, Frank; and his loving dad who raised him, John Potter, Sr. In addition to his mother of Edgecomb, he is survived by: his son, Dustin of Waldoboro; two sisters, Beth Jordan and her husband Clayton of Whitefield and Tina Lear and her husband Bob of Whitefield; two brothers, Roy Potter and his wife Karen of Edgecomb and John Potter, Jr. and his wife Erin of Newcastle; several nieces and nephews; and many many friends. A memorial service will be held at 11am, on Saturday, April 13th at the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main Street, Damariscotta, Maine. Rev. Richard Newell will officiate. Following the service there will be a reception at the Wells-Hussey American Legion Post #42 in Damariscotta. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in Herbie's memory to the Coastal Humane Society, 190 Pleasant Street, Brunswick, ME 04011.
