Marty Coker was born on May 2, 1965 in Eldorado Illinois to Larry and Alma Coker. Marty was welcomed home by his sisters Cheryl Christine and Kimberly Dawn Growing up Marty was very active. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and sports. He excelled at running track and made some exciting seasons for the Eldorado High School track team. He also spent a lot of time at his Grandma Whites house learning life lessons and how to garden. He continued to enjoy these things in his adult life. Marty was an avid pool player. He enjoyed playing on pool league every week with family and friends. Marty was employed at the Marion VA as a registered nurse. Marty’s greatest love and what he was most proud of, are those who survive him: His parents Larry and Alma, his wife Sue Ann, his children Dustin Coker, Tyson Frailey, Casey Edwards (Brandon), Keelan Coker, and Landon Frailey. His grandchildren Arabella Frailey, Kyleigh Coker, Cayden Edwards, Jeter Frailey, Grayson Edwards, and Harrison Edwards. His sister and brother in law Kim and Deon Lindsey and a brother in law and his wife, Randy (Sandy) Davis. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his sister Cheryl Christine Tate. Marty loved the Lord and his faith gave him comfort and strength. Funeral services for Marty will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020 at the Watson Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Block House Cemetery.
