Belva Christian, age 72 of Wolford, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at Bristol Hospice House, Bristol, Tennessee.
Born March 19, 1947, at Paynesville, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Homer Lester and Trula McClanahan Lester. She was a homemaker and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. Belva loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a Christian in the faith of Church of God. She loved gardening and canning when she was able. She was a great friend to everyone she met and loved talking on the phone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Buster” Christian June 2009; one sister, Josephine Mullins; and two brothers, Richard Lester and Dennis Lester.

Funeral services for Belva Christian will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020, 1:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, Virginia, with Doug Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Christian Cemetery, Woodlawn Drive, Wolford, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening 6:00 P.M., January 16, 2020, at the Virginia Funeral Home.
A service will be held at 7:00 P.M.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
