Lavenia Dawn "Vicki" Nelson

Lavenia Nelson (Vicki) passed away after a brief illness on January 14th, 2020. She passed peacefully at home in her own bed. Vicki is survived by her son, Bruce Nelson (wife Diane) and daughter, Aalia Fueller (husband Mark). She has 5 grandchildren, Dawn Castano, Laura Brown, Michael Nelson, Casey Fueller and Taylor Fueller. Several great grandchildren as well as dedicated nieces and nephews that always made her feel very special with their visits. Along with her devoted family she was blessed to have loving caregivers in Syracuse NY, Kaylla Snyder and Carla Meltzer, and at her residential care home (Ruths Care) Adam Koch and Ruth Koch (owners) and her dedicated caregiver Mercy Mercado in Chesapeake Va. who were instrumental in the quality of life she had in her last years. Family visitation will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday 1/17/2020 at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts, 1416 Cedar Road , Chesapeake, Virginia 23322 Burial to join her husband Edgar Nelson at Princess Anne Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, VA will be held at a later time.
