Betty Turley

Betty Turley, 90, of Madisonville, KY passed away, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville. She was born May 27, 1929, in Hopkins County to the late Monroe Oldham and Ilene Webb Oldham. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Buntin; second husband, James Turley; brothers, Tommy, David, Joe, Jerry, and Buck Oldham; and two sisters, Gertrude and Sheila. She was the founder of Grapevine Crochet Club. Betty worked at Enro and was retired. Betty owned and operated Betty's Ceramic Shack in Grapevine for serveral years. She also owned and operated Betty's Porcelain Dolls through the mid 1990s. She loved to talk, have company, and loved people. She is survived by two sons, Larry (Eyvone) Buntin of Madisonville and Alan Buntin of Kissimmee, FL; one sister, Anna Wisneski of Streamwood, IL; five grandchildren, Sonya Buntin, Dawn Moore, Brian Buntin, Jennifer Caskey, and Rachael Killough; seven great-grandchildren, Dakota Clayton, Jordan Moore, Kirsten Moore, Emma Killough, Maggie Killough, Corbin Caskey, and Ava Caskey; and one great-great-grandchild,, Aiden Clayton. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Brent Waltrip officiating. Burial will follow at Grapevine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the service time Saturday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Van Killough, Scott Moore, Casey Caskey, Richie Bittle, David Brown, and Shannon Embry.
