EUPER, Betty Lou. – of Traverse City, Formerly of Clio, Michigan, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Orchard Creek Health Care of Traverse City. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2PM Friday, January 17, 2020 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 11AM until the time of service at 2PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Orchard Creek Health Care - 9731 E. Cherry Bend Rd., Traverse City, MI 49684. Betty was born December 13, 1932 in Flint, Michigan to the late Murray and Ethel (Johnson) Gillett. She married Norm D. Euper on March 8, 1952 in Mt. Morris. He preceded her in death August 20, 1987. Betty worked for the City of Flint for 32 years before retiring in 1992. She was a Member of the Flint Banjo Club. Betty enjoyed golfing, traveling, reading and spending time with her family. Surviving are: Daughters: Deb Gordon, and Tammy Short; 4 grandchildren: Melanie (Tim) Schemanski, Christopher (Heather) Waters; Sean (Becky) Johnson, Jamie (Jim) Gray; 12 great grandchildren; Sister, Joyce Carlson; Sisters in law: Bev Gillett, Marleah (Sydney) Foster; Brother in law, Lloyd Euper; Several nieces and nephews. Betty was also preceded in death by: Son, Randy Euper; Brother, Duane Gillett; Son in law, Christopher Gordon; Brother in law, Jack Carlson.
