<p>Barbara A. Landers, 77, of Utica, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2015 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born in Utica on April 6, 1937, a daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine (Wolak) Kane. She was a 1954 graduate of Utica Free Academy. Barbara married James H. Landers on June 22, 1957 at St. Joseph's Church, Utica. Barbara started her working career at Griffiss Air Force Base then later was employed with General Electric and Bradlee's Department Store. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church until its closing and was a current parishioner of the Church of the Sacred Heart and St. Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa, New York Mills. She was a volunteer for Hospice and during her time at Sacred Heart Church she taught Confirmation classes, was a member of the Mother's Guild and Bereavement Committee. In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed gardening and walking. Her family was the center of her life. She especially enjoyed cooking for them and looked forward to family gatherings. Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Jim, her children and their spouses, Donna and Cliff Campion, FL, James and Tammie Landers, Queensbury, NY, Gail and Michael Malone, Schenectady, Kristen and Peter Zilgme, Delmar, NY and Jill and Nicolas Ltaif, Niskayuna, NY, grandchildren, Megan, Andrew, Catherine, Matthew, Stephanie, Brandon, Alyssa, Nikolas, Michael, Chelsea, MacKenzie, Erik, Emily, Joseph and Julie, sisters, Dorothy Kane, Marcy and Marilyn Ryznar, N. Utica, and a brother and sister-law, Raymond and Dolores Kane, PA. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends, especially a dear lifelong friend, Eleanor Moskal. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law, and a brother-in-law, Donald Ryznar. A Memorial Mass for Barbara will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 10:00 at the Church of the Sacred Heart and St. Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa. A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
