<p>BROOKS, Ashley Stevens ?ì³ 29, Windsor, passed away February 19, 2010, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Windsor, he was a son of Wayne Brooks, Kentville and stepmother Ruby Brooks, Kentville. Ashley lived and worked in Windsor. He was a loving father, son, brother and grandson. Ashley liked baseball, the outdoors, cats and video games. He is survived by his common-law wife, Alysha Silvea; daughter, Jada Kelsey; sister, Tara, Alberta; stepbrothers, Garrett and Chad, both of Kentville; step grandmother, Joan McLellan, Bedford and biological mother, Marsha Pineo, Windsor; several aunts, and uncles. Ashley was predeceased by his grandparents, Albert Emerson and Geraldine Brooks. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was Sunday, February 21, from 7-9 p.m. in H. C. Lindsay Funeral Home Chapel, Kentville, where a funeral memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today with Lay Chaplain Jim Norton officiating. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the trust fund set up for Ashley's daughter Jada Kelsey.
