<p><p> </p> <p> </p> <p style="text-align: center"><b>Doris Valjean (Miller) Null, 89, of Youngwood, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Easy Living in Hunker, PA. Valjean was born July 4, 1936 in Turtle Creek, PA. Daughter of the late Earl Eugene and Clara Nellie (Park) Miller. Valjean was a graduate of Penn Joint High School Class of 1954 and was a member of the Kingdom Hall in Greensburg. She was employed at West Hills Bowling Alley, serving in multiple capacities, including providing childcare for the children at the facility. Valjean found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She never passed up a garage sale, was a collector of Westmoreland Glass and enjoyed listening to old country music. She was a talented homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking for those she loved. Each year she tended a garden, canning its produce and making her own jelly. She often entered a family stand at local fairs to show off her domestic talents. After taking a cake decorating class, Valjean used her newfound talent to create beautiful wedding and anniversary cakes for family and friends, making many special occasions even more memorable. Gifted with her hands and blessed with endless patience, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Her creativity also shone through in painting ceramics and a wide variety of crafts. Whether creating something beautiful or sharing her talents with others, Valjean poured love into everything she made. She is preceded in death by both parents; her loving husband of 69 years, William Null Jr.; son, James David Null and sister, Beverley Morrison. She is survived by sons, Wayne (Beverley) Null of Madison, PA and Earl (Vonnie) Null of Youngwood, PA; grandchildren, Amy (Steve) Davis of N. Huntingdon, PA, Michael (Kristen) Null of Pickerington, OH, Karilynn (Sam) Smith of Harrisburg, PA and Rachel (Andrew) Blaszkowski of Charleston, SC; ten great grandchildren and sister, Joyce Miller of Youngwood.</b><b> Friends will be received from 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Inc. Rt 136 Madison, PA – Ronald A. Rich Jr., Supervisor/FD. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Valjean’s name to UPMC Children’s Hospital Foundation, www.givetochildrens.org. </b></p> <p style="text-align: center"> </p> <p> </p> </p>
