<p>Stanley Michael Krzanowski, 82, of Canton, beloved husband of Diane (LaBrecque) Krzanowski died Thursday, May 2, 2024 at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. He was born January 28, 1942 in Hartford, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Szydlo) Krzanowski and had been a life long resident of Canton. After serving with the U.S. Air Force, Stan was employed at Lasher Inc Industrial Pipe, Valve and Fitting, and Independent Pipe Supply prior to his retirement. </p><p><br></p><p>Stan was a native of Canton and his name has been synonymous with the Canton Little League for the past 46 years having served as a Coach, past President, and Board of Directors. As a member of the Board of Directors the Girls Softball program was developed. Stan’s motto was “instead of talking about it, just get it done” and he always found a way to do just that. Stan was well organized, quiet and never sought public attention. He was also a volunteer with Canton Youth Services Bureau , Canton Community of Concern and was instrumental in re-creating the Teen Center for Canton Youth, "The Cave”.</p><p><br></p><p>He was awarded in 2013 by the National Child Labor Committee The Lewis Hine Award for his volunteer efforts for the youth of Canton, In 2023 the Town of Canton and Canton Little League organization named the new Canton Little League Girls Softball complex at Canton High School in his honor. Also in 2023 he was the recipient of one of the CT Sports Media Alliance Awards and numerous local awards for his continued devotion and service for Canton Youth Programs, along with many other local awards through the years. </p><p><br></p><p>Most of all he loved spending time with his family and in later years being the greatest Grandpa/Papa to his three grandchildren who gave him so much joy.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his wife, Diane, of 57 years, he leaves his son, Stephen Krzanowski and wife Chantale of Collinsville; his daughter Amy Krzanowski Maliszewski and husband Ryan of East Hartland; his brother. Dr. Joseph Krzanowski, Jr. and wife Patricia of Tampa, FL; his grandchildren, Kate and Cody Maliszewski and Emma Krzanowski, his sisters in law: Raymonde Daigle and husband Edward, Judi LaBrecque and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Krzanowski Hamilton and a brother, Dr. Edward Krzanowski, his wife Karen and their two young children, David and Christine.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton on Sunday, May 12 th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 13 th at St. Patrick’s Church, 50 Church Street in Collinsville. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Canton Little League, C/O Bob Barnes, 97A Dyer Ave., Canton 06019.</p>
