<p><b>Mary Etta Self Millsaps, age 85, of Vonore, passed away on Monday afternoon, May 4, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted member of Vonore Baptist Church, Mary Etta lived her life with a steadfast faith and a gentle spirit. She retired from the United States Post Office after many years of dedicated service, where she was known for her reliability, kindness, and warm smile. Mary Etta was a God loving Christian woman whose life reflected her deep belief in compassion, humility, and service to others. Her family and friends will remember her unwavering love, her quiet strength, and the grace with which she approached every season of life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gussie and Georgia Dupes Self; sister, Gracie King; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Brenda Self; son, Larry Millsaps. She is survived by husband of 20 years, Lonnie Millsaps, Jr.; sons, Tim West; Jimmy Millsaps; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Faye Self; nephew, Craig Self and wife Courtney and their sons, Cade and Cooper, and nephew, Dustin Self. Funeral 2:00 P.M. Thursday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Harrill Millsaps, Rev. Tommy Self officiating. The interment will follow in Citico Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital or the Monroe County Friends of Animals. The family will receive friends 12:30-2:00 P.M. Thursday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.</b></p><p><b><br></b></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
