Obituary

Lottie Ford‑Edmonds in

Rebirth into an ANGEL

Lottie Mae Ford‑Edmonds, age 82, of Lilburn, Georgia, passed away on April 29, 2026. She was born on January 1, 1944 in Vance Mississippi. She was the oldest of ten children — a role she carried with pride, devotion, and a deep sense of responsibility.

From a very young age, Lottie was introduced to the love of God, and she embraced that love as the steady foundation of her life. She understood early on that the only constant, unwavering love is the love of the Creator, and she lived each day guided by that truth. She taught Sunday school at Main Baptist Church for over twenty years and her faith shaped her character: resilient, gentle, respectful and honest. She was able to live authentically in every season of life.

Lottie was extremely close to her family and naturally became the protector of children — nurturing, teaching, shielding & uplifting those around her. She possessed a quiet strength and a kind, peaceful spirit that made people feel loved and safe in her presence.

A woman of many passions, Lottie loved outdoors, food, traveling and family — she lived an active, vibrant life. She was an avid hiker, she loved to walk up Stone Mountain daily, ride bikes, jog, lift weights and she found joy in exploring the world. Her travels took her across the United Kingdom, Africa, the Caribbean, and throughout the United States, each journey adding to the richness of her life story. She was also a gifted cook, transitioning from a meat eater to a vegan, she was known far and wide for making any dish taste absolutely delicious. She was famous for her thanksgiving dinners that included her delicious cornbread that taste like cake, to her dressing, macaroni and cheese & sweet potato pie — all the dishes made with love and remembered with warmth and joy. A devoted gardener, she nurtured plants with the same care she gave to people. She had a beautiful tradition of making every birthday special, faithfully sending cards with each person’s very own “birthday dollar,” a gesture that became a cherished family memory.

Lottie is survived by her beloved children,

Renee Edmonds — her baby daughter & best friend.

Rondya Edmonds —her middle child and twin.

Vincent Edmonds —her first born and only son.

Her siblings, David Webb, Curtis Webb, Jerome Webb. Her thoughtful & caring sister, Sarah Webb and her closest and favorite brother, Albert Webb. Her honorary daughter-niece, Dyvisha Edmonds and her lovely sister-n-laws, “Baby” Helen Edmonds, Francine Powell, Ida Webb. Her endearing nephew & niece Lewis Polanco-Webb & Connie Webb. Her precious six grandchildren (M’kaylee, Keilani, Madison, Nova, Jorie, Riley) and a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends who loved her deeply.

Her legacy of faith, kindness, and authenticity will continue to shine through all who were blessed to know her — and her soul will rebirth into an angel in heaven as she was on earth.

We will love & remember you forever!

In memory of Lottie Ford-Edmonds, the family has requested flowers or monetary donations in lieu of planting a tree.
