Maycie Ann Brown

Maycie Ann Brown, a current resident of Wetumpka, AL, and a battle-born Nevada girl, passed away on April 28, 2026, at the age of 15.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 1:00 PM with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel in Wetumpka. Services in Eureka are in the planning and will be announced at a later date.

Maycie was born in Elko, NV on January 18th, 2011 at 9:35 AM and was brought home to the mountains of Diamond Valley, NV shortly after her birth. She came into this world as a little ball of fire, pure light, all of the wonder in the world, and she stayed that way. Her mother, father, and three siblings cherished the new baby girl with a love they had never known; their family was complete. As she grew into a toddler, it was clear that everything was tutus, pink, and everything pretty. As much as she was a girlie girl, she kept up with all of those Schweble boys, rode horses with her granny and grandpa, welded with her dad in the shop, rode dirt bikes with her brother, and was never afraid of a little dirt under her nails. As the years went on, she found a love for sports, starting with T-ball, where you could hear her loved ones on the sidelines cheering, “Go, Maycie, go!” She loved fishing, the mountains, the beach, road trips, music, her dogs, her friends, and her family. As an early teen, she became passionate about art, basketball, and track; exceeding in ways we never believed possible. She was always one to rise above expectations. When her nephew, Kai, was born, she waltzed into the title of “Aunt” and kept her sister, CC, sane in the new role of motherhood. At the age of thirteen, she moved to Wetumpka, AL with her mother and stepfather, where she fell in love with the lakehouse, Florida, surfing, beautiful new friends, and her new-found love for God. Her love for all things beautiful maintained throughout her life. It could be seen in the way she loved fixing up her hair, makeup, and nails. She was as fiery as she was big-hearted. She loved and is loved deeply.

Maycie was creative. Maycie was passionate. Maycie was kind. Maycie was determined. Her family is at ease and finds comfort in knowing that Maycie is finally united and in the strength of Grandma Ruth’s unconditional love.

She is preceded in death by many other family members that are hugging our sweet girl now. She is survived by her mother, Briana R. Bozeman (Ronnie); father, Philip Daniel Brown (Gina); siblings, Catarina Nunn (Michael), Shauna Brown, Trypp Brown; bonus siblings Logan Hunter Bozeman, Lakin Aguirre (Clayton), Chrina Naing; nephews Oliver & Kai Nunn; grandparents, John and Emma Sayler, Gwen Sayler, Philip R. Brown (Rhonda), Linda Dempsey (Ernie), Ronnie Bozeman Sr. (Patty), Merline Khatib (Saeb); great-grandmother, Letha Sacherer; aunt and uncles, Jake and Alicia Brown, Jay and Amy Sayler, Clint Tognotti, Ryan Tognotti (Shanda); great-uncle, Tony Sacherer; ;Denise Sayler and numerous cousins.
