<p><p>Franklin L. Rowland passed away on Saturday April 25, 2026 at Sister’s of Charity Hospital, Buffalo.&nbsp; Born in Johnson City, NY on February 1, 1938, he was the son of the late Charles and Evaline Beavers Rowland.&nbsp; Frank graduated in 1956 from LaSalle high school in Niagara Falls, and served in the US Marine Corp from 1957 until 1960.&nbsp; He was a Machinist at Harrison Radiator in Lockport, retiring in 1999 after working for 32 years.&nbsp; He is predeceased by his wife Sandra Lee Atkinson Rowland, who passed away June 13, 2016.</p></p><p><br></p><p><p>Frank was the father of Alicia (Alan) Vieaux of Lockport and Jaime Lyndaker of Holley; Grandfather of Emilie, Grace, Allison, Christopher, Esperanza and Jonathan.&nbsp; Besides his wife, Frank is predeceased by his daughter Tammy Rowland, his son Darrell Rowland, his siblings Roger Rowland, Charlotte (Late Donald) Schlyer and Shirley (Late Ken) Strong.&nbsp; He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.&nbsp;</p></p><p><br></p><p><p>Frank was very active and involved in many activities at the age of 88. An avid golfer, Frank served various roles for the Niagara Orleans Retirees Golf Association. He enjoyed golfing as often as possible with friends and with his son in law Alan. He also loved bowling and frequently bowled at Allie Brandt Bowling Lanes. He made many friends there and they enjoyed going out weekly whenever possible. Frank also enjoyed volunteering for Memory Minders at the Dale Association in Lockport. Everyone loved him there. As a military veteran, Frank was often seen giving warm heartfelt greetings to all veterans that he came into contact with. He was a true friend to everyone and he expressed his respect often. Frank’s biggest loves were his late wife Sandy, and his children and grandchildren. He truly enjoyed spending as much time as possible together with them, and made loving memories that will be forever cherished.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p></p><p><br></p><p><p>Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Saturday, May 9th from 10 AM – 12 PM with services following at 12 Noon all at Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.&nbsp; Visit pruddenandkandt.com.</p></p>
