<p><p><b>Sellick, John</b></p><p><br></p><p>It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Wesley Sellick, Born on December 15th, 1964, in Saint John, New Brunswick. John was the beloved son of the late Marven Dayle Sellick and Beatrice Lois Isabelle (Davidson) Sellick.</p><p><br></p><p>John will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his devoted wife, Leonora; his sons, Eric, Scott (Alicia), and Tyson; brother, Hugh; sisters-in-law, Shelley and Angela (Michael); mother-in-law, Lillian; his cherished grandchildren, Ethan and Alyssa; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. He also leaves behind his loyal canine companion, Reba. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Carl.</p><p><br></p><p>John dedicated 35+ years of service to Bell Aliant, where he built a respected and lasting career. He also gave many years of dedicated service to the Keswick Valley Fire Department, proudly supporting his community and serving alongside his fellow members.</p><p><br></p><p>An avid outdoorsman, John found great joy in nature. He loved duck hunting, spending time in the woods, and working at his woodlot. His passion for the outdoors was a defining part of who he was. John was a lifelong member of the Sunpoke Hunting Retriever Club, having been involved since childhood. He was well known for his deep love of Labrador retrievers, taking great pride in raising and working with them, and in the joy and fulfillment they brought to his life.</p><p><br></p><p>In the hockey season John enjoyed time at the rink, watching hockey and cheering on his son, grandchildren and local teams, especially the York North Coyotes. His love for family, the outdoors, and community will be remembered by all who knew him and John’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will take place on Monday, March 30, 2026, at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, from 6 – 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 31, at 2 pm. A reception will be held after the funeral service at the Keswick Valley Fire Department, 32 NB-617, Burtt's Corner, NB. Interment for close family will take place at a later date.</p><p><br></p><p>Donations in John’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
